We have had a pleasingly busy spring.  It definitely feels like people are returning to London, the streets and our phone lines are busy.
These last few weeks we have been blessed with business from long-term and returning customers, some from over 20 years ago.  We thank all returning customers from the bottom of our hearts.
Our corner of South East London was blessed by a handful of Independent 'small business' Estate Agents. Recent weeks has seen most of them gobbled up by large corporate companies. We are one of the very few Independent Estate Agents left in the Borough.
A proud and Independent Business since 1999.

August Newsletter- A Property Market Update

As I write, we are into the last summer Bank Holiday.  I have everything crossed for a little bit of sun and warmth for us all.

Talking of ‘hotting up’.  Demand is growing for rentals. Our London lettings market has seen a lull since the pandemic. But we have recently had great success letting larger houses, 3 bedrooms plus. We are a little short of stock now, so if you were thinking of renting, now really could be an opportunity, we actually do have waiting tenants.

The Property Market After The Stamp Duty Holiday

Yesterday I was in London. Buckingham Palace are doing a fabulous open day at the moment. 'Picnic in the Palace'.  £16.50 gets you an afternoons access to the garden at Buckinham Palace. Armed with a blanket and cool box we headed to Town.  I have always wanted to go to Buckinham Palace and  I cannot recomend it highly enough. It feels like reasonable value too.  Heading home, I was very pleased to note that London is back to being busy. Which can only bode well for the  property market in SE London.

The summer has arrived so your property market news

Summer is here.
Roll on the 21st.

There has been news recently that the market is up 10% in some sectors. In parts of the market, this appears to be true, but some people are still staying away from flats.  But with lockdown ending and City firms asking people to return to work, we think the draw of a Green and open commuter belt like ours, will be winning people back rather soon.

May Property Market Update - Stay tuned with Mark Beaumont

Nearly there folks!

The pubs are open - ish.  The shops are open.  You can even hug granny.  There is much to be cheerful for.  From Monday we can even go inside a pub or restaurant.  Who would of thought that just over a year ago that we would be so greatful for such basic freedoms .  But we sure are.

The housing market is continuing to pick up and our lettings deparment is getting busier by the week. With more business opening in London people who moved out of London will start to move back to our little commuter suburb. South East London is such a perfect hub for popping into the office and for when you are working from home.  We are so fortunate with so much greenspace to enjoy with easy access to the Thames Walks and the Countryside beyond.

Wishing you all a healthy and happy end to the lockdown.

Onwards and upwards...

What is happening in the housing market this April

Hello everyone,

It's amazing to be writing to you all with the Pubs open. I haven't been to the Pub yet myself, but I know how important meeting friends and family is to everyone.  It feels like a cloud has been lifted and finally we all have some things to look forward to Whether it is planning a holiday or finally being able to visit Grandma.

Losing the Duke of Edinburgh has been a sad shock. Watching the coverage makes you realise how much he had crammed into his life especially as he came to the Country, stateless as an immigrant. What a devoted Husband and Public servant, he was from that marvellous generation.  And what a love story!  We could all learn a thing or two from HRH and make every day count.   RIP Sir!.

Easing the lockdown- what is happening in the housing market?

Sadly this newsletter is a tad too late to wish all you beautiful ladies out there a Happy Women's day.  But we are reaching you in time for Easter.  With the days getting longer and with a few hours more sunshine a day things are getting brighter. Add to that the lifting of restrictions and we are finally seeing some people with a spring in their step.  We have things to look forward to...  Onwards and upwards.
There are many things happening in the housing market this month.

Stamp Duty Holiday extension agreed

With the stamp duty holiday coming to an end on 31st March, and the news of Chancellor Rishi Sunak extending the stamp duty holiday deadline until the end of June - a three-month extension, we look at a selection of brilliant properties available across London below the current £500,000 stamp duty threshold.
